Boracay (Part 4)

The way hubby and I stuck to our Boracay itinerary, one would think we weren't on vacation. There was no time to stop nor pause, we were there to make the most of our trip as there were so many things we wanted to do and see!

So, after our lunch at Epic, we went back to the hotel just in time to make it to our reservation to be shuttled off to Puka Beach. Puka Beach could only be accessed by guests of Alta Vista de Boracay and  Boracay EcoVillage Resort. I wasn't expecting much since I've read in the internet that the sand there wasn't powdery fine like that of White Beach's and the water wasn't as calm. But boy, was I pleasantly surprised with this (semi) private sanctuary. The place was named Puka Beach because of the puka shells that abound there, hence the granular sandy beach. Our hotel has a cabana reserved for the guests and our driver even told us that there would be a welcome sign with our names on them (but we didn't see it). Aside from the occasional island-hoppers who would dock off and take pictures from time to time, we were pretty much the only ones (and another group from Eco-Village perhaps) who stayed in the beach. I even managed to sneak in a cat nap! I woke up after about half an hour later, just in time to see the hotel's shuttle drove in to pick us up.

T'was perfect time for a nap.

Puka Beach was a welcome surprise.

We had the place almost to ourselves.
We went back to the hotel to freshen up for our anniversary dinner date at DS' Indigo Restaurant. With enough time to spare, we took a side trip to E Mall and did a quick shopping at the Mango Outlet. With an hour more of sunlight, me and hubby walked leisurely along the beachfront and snapped pictures to no end.

At Discovery Shores, we were greeted warmly and seated by our server for the night who was very attentive to our needs.  The night couldn't have been more perfect! The place was very posh and upscale. The lights gave romantic glows to the setting around us. Not far away, we could hear the waves rolling in, interfused with the subtle music in the background. And the food? Oh, it's worth a whole new blog ;)
